The aim of any blackjack player according to the Blackjack Game Rules is to end with a larger hand than the dealer's hand total without exceeding 21.
In all the Blackjack Game Rules types, the card values are the same:
all the 2-10 cards are valued as numbered, all the face cards (Jacks, Queens, Kings) have the value of 10, and the Ace can be counted as either 1 or 11 depending on what makes the player hand less likely to win.
Any hand that exceeds the value of 21 is called to Bust. In Blackjack, the gambler's hand is only against the dealer's hand, which means other player hands are unimportant.
